Why do I think this is real?

I mean, look at it. To start with, it is blue and white. Blue and white! There isn't a mouse alive that is so unnaturally coloured. And, in another blow to realism, the tail doesn't even try to be round or pink. At least the ears try, but c'mon. And what happened to the legs?

Yet for some reason, when I get going, I can SO convince myself that this thing just popped out of a hole in the wall, and start hunting it like I hadn't eaten in a week, and needed the food. Let's take another look at it:
